There’s two locations to take the HSK, YCT, or BCT near Denver: the Community College of Denver and the nearby Colorado State University. These are the only locations with an official Confucius Institute that can hold the HSK Test in Denver.
|Community College of Denver|
|Address||1111 W Colfax Avenue,|
Denver, CO 80204,
Cherry Creek Building, Room 222
|About||There’s a free Chinese Language Corner workshop on Fridays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm which might be of interest.|
There’s also a scholarship program to study in China based on your HSK score. I highly recommend studying in China, so look into this.
|Colorado State University|
|Address||1413 S College Ave,|
Fort Collins, CO 80523
|About||They’ve got a lot of classes for young Chinese learners, even for kids in Kindergarten, so parents take note. |
They also offer a Summer Educational Trip through Beijing, Shanghai, and Changsha. You don’t need to be a student to participate and only need to cover your airfare and discretionary spending.
When can I take the test?
Just remember to double check with the college before committing to a test date. It’s not uncommon for exams to be canceled or rescheduled because of events on campus.
Registering for the HSK
Unfortunately, you can’t just sign up with the college, you have to register with the official Confucius Institute headquarters and it’s not the most user-friendly interface I’ve ever used. Culture Yard wrote a wonderful step-by-step walkthrough which I highly recommend.
